I have been working as a psychotherapist since 2007. I am passionate about lifelong learning and training, and I bring what I learn to my clients. My overall philosophy is that the therapeutic relationship can bring insight and healing. Through deep listening and presence, I examine together with my clients what patterns can be transformed through conscious awareness to activate you to bring in what you seek in your life. Together we look at how early family relationships, intergenerational patterns, and culture affect your sense of self. The therapeutic process creates more freedom in how you choose to express yourself.

I received my B.A. from Wesleyan University and my MSW from the Smith College School of Social Work in 2007. I interned at a women’s health crisis center (DCRCC) and at Walter Reed working with veterans, and I have also worked in school and hospital settings. I trained at the Washington School of Psychiatry in their Group Therapy program as well as their Clinical Supervision program. I have been a fellow with the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis and a scholar with the American Academy of Psychotherapists. The theories that I draw from most are Psychodynamic Theory, Attachment Theory, Relational Psychotherapy, Family Systems Theory, and Somatic Mindfulness Techniques. I am a licensed in Maryland (16112) and Washington DC (LC50082537).

In my own life, I am also very interested in cycles of the Earth and Cosmos, how we as humans connect to these cycles, and how we tend to the Earth as our home and place of sustenance and nuturance. I express this exploration through my work as a fiber artist (wool felting) and through creating conscious spaces that honor the Earth, Sea, and Sky.
